Hello Everyone,

We are looking forward to set some limit on the epic options related to specific project(s) only in list of epics from epic link field during new issue creation or editing the existing issues.

We are also okay to receive some possible workaround to restrict it somehow, either via some plugins like Script runner or suite utilities which we are already owning.

Looking forward for your valuable suggestions here.

Regards,

Jayesh

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if you got the answer to your question?  I am also looking for a way to specify which projects users should be able to select Epic from when creating an issue. At the moment, it lists all Epic from all projects, which is a nightmare and most likely users are picking the wrong Epic.  Thank you.

It seems to me that this behaviour is fixed - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWSERVER-12016.

May be you need to update? What version do you use?

Sorry to dig out old posts, but there are several regarding this issue and most weren't answered.

The linked issue actually only fixed showing done epics. Restriction on the current or specific project is still not available.

Is there any workaround? I understood that some companies to have cross-project epics. However, in our company we don't use this, it actually is is a severe security issue.
