We recently began using Jira Software (Cloud) and I noticed that Jira Labs updates are enabled. Since it was enabled from the get go, we've had the new issue view enabled through Labs from day 1 and we are fine with it. I'm good with trying new functionality in general. I do have some general questions, though:
1) How do I know that they are pushing something new out through Labs? Is there advance notice or does a change just appear one day?
2) Can I exercise any control over this? Do I as the admin have an opportunity to say "no" for everyone in my organization to specific enhancements pushed out through Labs or do I have to have every single user go out and disable Labs in their profile if I don't want the new enhancement to appear in our instance?
Thanks, all!
For the last few years Jira Labs has essentially been the 'New Issue View' toggle. You can switch the setting off for yourself but not everyone in your org. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71938?error=login_required&error_description=Login+required&state=302a1fb1-bb6e-4c79-84a3-297d1bbd216f for details on the request to enable this function.
More generally with cloud you can see changes in functionality as they roll out by checking out the cloud blog posts. See: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog
As a cloud user, you'll need to get used to continuous change. It's generally a good thing, but my company is on the premium plan and I am looking forward to the new 'Release Tracks' functionality which will give us the ability to plan and prepare for updates.

Hi Greg,
at least for the question 2) - if an admin can disable Labs for all users there is an open Suggestion with Atlassian:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-67328
Feel free to vote for it after having clicked the link - probability is then higher that this Suggestion gets some traction.
At the moment it is a per-user setting.
Cheers,
Daniel
