How do you change a Jira Service Desk Cust Portal user's email address after account is created?

Pat Giesecke January 24, 2018

I can get to the account (under User management > JIRA Service Desk > Portal only customers) but once the User information is pulled up selecting the [Edit] button only allows me to edit their name.  This user has already been added to a LOT of issues as a Participant so I don't want to deactivate/delete their account.  How can I get their email address updated?

Hi Pat,

Unfortunately, the feature to modify the customer's email.

However, there is a open feature request, for this to be implemented.

You can access it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-4346

Please, I recommend you to add yourself as watcher and to vote in the ticket. This way, it will gain visibility to our developers.

If you have further doubts regarding to our policy of new feature, you can access the below link.

Thanks @Gabriel Senna, I voted.  Unfortunately, I think we'll have to create a new user and bulk add them as a Participant to all issues where their current user is a participant (Is that the workaround we should use?  If so, are there steps/guidance somewhere to do this?).
