How do I search attachments

We have a number of logs which we attach to the relavent bugs, so how do I search those attachements (the ones I am interested in are plain text files)?

If you use server version, you can try to seacrh into attchment folder on server.

AFAIK, this is not possible. I did find this addon app but have no experience but worth a trial if desired - search-attachments. Note it is for Server only.

Thanks, so I asked our IT folks if we could get Search-Attachements installed and was told that we had previously paid for it and installed it, but after it crashed & stopped working, we heard nothing from Atlassian (& I susspect we didn't get our money back either!)
