How do I restrict a Product Owner of the project to only have access to that project

We want to restrict our project Product Owner to the single project they are associated with - they should be able to create tickets, change status of the ticket and comment on tickets.

They should not be able to access any other projects nor have access to any apps under the Apps dropdown in the project they have access to.

We have attempted to restrict access using this howto - https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/how-to-restrict-project-access-for-teams-in-jira-cloud-953142266.html - however this is not working.

So, in that article, what bits are you not doing?

My guess would be that you've not removed their access to projects that they get via the "anyone who can log in can see this project", but we do not know what you have or have not done!
