I am in Classic Scrum Project on Jira Cloud - Free Version
I cannot see a way to add the epics and versions side panel
Only way to see and add epics in similar fashion is through the visually exhausting Roadmap view.
I need to enable the Epics and Versions Side Panel.
Hello @sachi,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
In order to view the Versions and Epics panel, you can go to Backlog and click on … > Show epics/version panel.
Can you please check if the options below are visible on your site?
This option is not restricted to Cloud Plans, so it should be visible on your site.
Please, take your time to test and let us know how it goes.
Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi there,
I'm trying to view the Versions and Epics panel but the options, as above, are not available to me.
Do i need to seek permissions of some kind?
Thanks,
Paddy

Is there a way to customize this panel and change it from Epic to Initiative or Theme?

I also can't see those options in the dropdown, but inspecting the html, they're there. I unhid the "Show epics panel" button, but clicking it does nothing. I would really like to be able to organize conversations around epics in our backlog. Is this a bug? We're using a kanban board.
