How can I show the presence of associated Zendesk tickets in JIRA Agile Issue Detail View?

Hi,

I am new to JIRA admin and need some assistance.

I need to show the presence of Zendesk tickets when a user is viewing a JIRA issue in the Agile Issue Detail View.

What I would like to show one of the following (in order of preference):

a. the Zendesk ticket numbers associated with an issue

b. the number of Zendesk tickets associated with an issue

or

c. a boolean indicator that show that an issue has associated Zendesk tickets. The user will at least know to go to the classic JIRA issue view to see the tickets.

My questions are:

1. Can I get access to the field(s) associated with Zendesk and show them on the Issue Detail View? My research has not turned up anything, but if someone out there knows, I would really appreciate an answer.

2. I know I can create a custom field that I can show. How do I fill in that field when an issue is either created by Zendesk or linked to from Zendesk?

For question 2, I have looket at https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/273052/create-jira-ticket-created-from-zendesk-in-specific-statuswhich talks about creating a listener. I need help finding how to do this.

Any assistance will be much appreciated!

Never mind.

I now see that there is a label "jira_escalated" that provides this information.

Also, concerning my question on listeners, I found this: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Restricted+Functions+in+Atlassian+OnDemandwhich states that creating listeners is NOT available in OnDemand instances.
