How can I show all issues from a project by epic

Jo Beck May 5, 2019

Kanban on Server

Problem:

I have an Epic in my Software Engineering Project that has Issues created under the Marketing Project that I want to be shown on the Marketing Board

example: Epic SE-001, Story MK-003

At the moment, I can see the MK tickets on the Marketing Board Backlog but not in the Kanban board.

Requirements:

  1. I want my Marketing board to be shown by Epic  (easily done by Configure board>Swimlanes>Epics)
  2. and to also show ALL tickets that have an issue key = MK.

I'm just new to configuring Jira so would appreciate any direction, as I've spent days reading blogs to no avail.

Hi Jo,

What filter does the Kanban board use (Board -> Configure -> Filter Query)?

Also, make sure they're not unmapped in Column management.

Kind regards,

Bob

Hi Bob,

my filter is:   Filter Query 'project = MK ORDER BY Rank ASC'

I believe I have this columns correct (feel free to correct me)

Hi Jo,

And if you click on the filter query you see all 18 issues?

Yes, I can see all 18 tickets using the Filter Query (as above) which is what is confusing me.
