How can I show a custom field on the GreenHopper card view?

Matthew Whitfield July 25, 2011

Hello all

I am using the JIRA Misc Custom Fields plugin (https://plugins.atlassian.com/plugin/details/27136) to calculate a field from our entered data. Basically we have a 'priority vector' which is derived by taking the values from four custom drop-downs and coming up with a number. That bit I am all happy with.

However, I would like to be able to show the value that the custom field derives on the card view in GreenHopper, and I can't because the type isn't on the list of supported types for the card view. I have looked in the database and the value for the custom field doesn't seem to be persisted anywhere, so options that rely on the database are pretty much out of the question.

Are there any possible ways in which I could achieve what I want?

Thanks

Matt

This should help you -

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/GH/Configuring+your+Card+Styles

Apparently, on the view mentioned on this page and in the image below, You can select the Field you want to add from the Field Name drop down and then move it up and down on the card to suit your needs.

Hope this helps!

nikhil - thanks for the comment, but unfortunately as I said in the question, the custom field type i'm using is not on the 'supported types' list on the page you link to. I was wondering if there was any way in which I could 'coerce' the field to be displayed in those drop downs...
