How can I generate a performance report by user?

Barry Lamora May 28, 2015

We are using JIRA with Agile plugin together with Bitbucket and Confluence.
Our developers are logging their spent time using the "Log work" functionality in JIRA.

Now I would like to generate a report like that for each user:

  •  Time logged in whole period
    • Time logged per week or per day
  • Difference between estimated time and logged time for whole period
    • Difference between estimated time and logged time per issue

The time period should be configurable (last month, last sprint, etc.).
If possible, we would prefer a solution without expensive plugins.

Thank you!

Does it still work in 2019?

Hi @Sergey Sheypak

it looks like @Barry Lamora is not active for more than two years, so she probably will not answer to your question.

However, I think that her case is still not achievable in Jira without any third-party plugin. You can find many different viable options in the marketplace, by simply typing worklogs in the search box.

  Jakub.

Hi Barry.

If you need a report across Projects, then Tempo Timesheets might be a suitable add-on for you to consider.

In Tempo Timesheets you can generate advanced reports based on Teams, Users, Issue Filters and more.

Hi Barry,

The Time Sheet report might be suitable for you.

Go to Projects > Reports > Time Sheet report.

There will be a bunch of options for you to refine your report results.

Cheers,

Paulo

Hi Paulo, I couldn't see the Time Sheet Report under projects. We are using JIRA cloud. If I navigate to a particular project, I was able to see Time Tracking Report but not Time Sheet Report. Could you please help if I am missing something.

Thanks

Satish

Hi All,

we also need a similar report like Barry Lamora posted , Tempo is really good but it is not  a free-ware.

kindly request to share the good time tracking report for the JIRA to track on the basis of user report.

Thanks

Deepak

Hi Barry,

I believe that the Time Tracking Report does that for you.

Hi Paulo,

Thanks a lot, this quite solves my issue.

The only thing I didn't figure out yet:
Can I somehow display the difference between logged time and estimated time?

Thanks, Barry
