Hi,
We have a hard time finding why a group can edit issues in a project while that group is not added to the permission 'edit project'. the user is only a member of that group and of the group 'jira software users'.
Can you help us. Is this a bug or is this a setting that we are overlooking somewhere?
Thanks,
Peter
What is set for the Edit Issues permission on the permission scheme used by the project?
Roles? Groups? Application access? - etc.
Once you know that, you may need to do some digging. Likely you have a project role in there, and the people you don't want to be editing issues are a member of that project role.
Hi Josh,
Thanks for the answer. The only project role in the permission schem of that project that can edit issues is: Project Role (Administrators)
And yup, that was it! Thanks. That person was also set as a project role administrator.
Problem solved. Thanks!
Peter.
