We have JIRA (v5.0.3#729-sha1:bf569e4) (with 100 users licence from downloaded version) and also we have 100 users licenced GreenHopper ( Agile Project Management for JIRA (Build: #4b2ce0846403)
A free update (v. 6.1.6) is available for this add-on. )
If we want to use our installed GreenHopper version (184.108.40.206) system send this messasge: "GreenHopper is currently unavailable. This might be because an upgrade is in progress."
When we download the free update (6.1.6) the system send this:
"This add-on has been installed and a license was automatically detected in your application. Get started with this add-on by clicking below." - hourra, but right after this message we see that we need to pay $2000 to renew our license.
So, question is: which version can we use with our license???
Hope your soon answer, sincerely Zsolt Asboth.
Is your license expired for GreenHopper?
If not, please create an issue on support.atlassian.com so that the engineers there can help you look into this problem.
Another thing is to have faster response, provide the support zip as well.
full support zip (Administration > System > Atlassian Support Tool > Support Zip)
Hope this helps, cheers :)
If the license is not valid for the GreenHopper version:
A new GreenHopper license will need to be purchased so that it is valid for the new GreenHopper version. To restore immediate access to GreenHopper, an evaluation license can be generated onmy.atlassian.com.
It is not possible to rollback GreenHopper to a prior version. If you have accidentally upgraded GreenHopper to an invalid version and cannot get a license for it, please restore a backup of JIRA to its last-known working state ASAP, as in our Rolling Back a JIRA Upgrade documentation.
The above is extracted from the KB below, and as accordingly it is not possible to roll back to previous version. So for you I would recommend that you generate an evaluation license at the mean time to continue using GreenHopper and raise a support ticket.
Upgrading to 6.1.6 (released on 4 April 2013 which is earlier than your expiry) should not be disabling your GreenHopper but you will see the message if your license is expired.
