Greenhopper custom field - Business Value

Hi All

I am on jira agile 6.1.6, and in my custom field section i see a custom field - Business value. I presume this was created by greenhopper in its older versions.

My question is:

1. Can I delete this custom field?

2. What are the impact of deleting this custom field?

Hi Rahul,

Yes it's a JIRA Agile custom field naturally used for estimations (like Story Points). If you don't want to use it, you can safely delete it. Simply check the field's available contexts to make sure it will not affect any issue types or projects.

However, the field is Locked by default. You can follow this KB to unlock it from database and then you can delete it:
