Global Sidebar - Search by ticket # broken?

I can no longer search using global sidebar by ticket number using the new jira experience. This started yesterday, has something changed? Is there a bug in Jira itself?

well you get the prize for best use media to illustrate your problem. ;-)

So I'm thinking you should reach out to support since this appears to work for me on Cloud. Are you on Cloud or Server? Can you switch back to the old experience and verify it is working?

haha, thanks. I figured it would be the best way to show the issue i was facing.
