Global Field Configurations SQL Reporting

Deleted user October 28, 2020

Hello!

I've got a Jira Software Server setup that has quite a few custom fields that have global contexts. I'm working on getting them all cleaned up and associated to projects and issue types.

After I get them cleaned, I would like to have automated reports notify me of any changes. I already have some daily reporting setup to which I would like to add this functionality. I am struggling with figuring out the SQL that would return custom fields with Global contexts.

Has anyone already figured out how to do this?

Hi Ben,

in case you really want to do it using SQL I'd probably look into the Developer resources:
https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/database-custom-fields/

Especially this topic here should refer exactly to what you want:
https://developer.atlassian.com/server/jira/platform/database-custom-fields/#custom-field-configuration-schemes

Although not part of an automation as such probably a specialized App with that feature set could be an option. I am thinking of Botronsoft Power Admin as well as several other Apps - but actually it is up to you if you want to query the database or induct an App on getting the requirement sorted out.

Cheers,
Daniel
