Field 'Flagged' does not exist or you do not have permission to view it.

Simon Tilbury August 15, 2022

According to Jira's documentation (https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/flag-an-issue/) it should be possible to search for items with a Flag but when I run the JQL I get the: "Field 'Flagged' does not exist or you do not have permission to view it" error. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Hi Simon -

What type of project are you using? Team-managed? Company-managed? Jira Work Management?

That seems a little strange if it is a Company-managed or JWM project, but see if you can see it in the list of custom fields.

Go to Settings > Issues > Custom fields and search for it.

When i search for custom field called "flag" it actually returns "Impeded" and this is indeed the name of the field that controls the flag. Thank you!
