Feature request: Add Kanban board Administrator by Project Role (e.g. Administrator role)

Steven Pugh July 10, 2020

We try to delegate management over your team's day to day stuff as much as possible so that, while users can ask admins for help - they don't have to.

In a future update, can you allows users to put a role - even just the Project Administrator Role into the Administrator permissions in Kanban boards?  (similar to how filter permissions work now)

This way if a project is handed off to a different manager then the new manager has complete "Project Administrator" access to the project that the old manager had with no more effort than just adding them the to the Project Administrator role within the project.

Or is there a way to do this now I haven't seen?

This should be possible now that boards are associated with a specific project, Atlassian

This is still not possible in Server edition 8.20.x. :)  Only users and groups work, not Project Roles.
