Enabling Locked Custom Fields in Jira Cloud

Hi, community,

 

I have used Enterprise Jira before and currently am working with Jira Cloud am unable to figure if it is possible to unlock custom fields for a Project. I am unable to add fields like epic name, color, etc fields I am used to. Is this a limitation of Jira Cloud or am I have not found the configuration?

The Epic Name is locked by default, and editing it is not possible. In JIRA Cloud, the Agile custom fields (e.g Epic Color, Epic Link, Epic Name) are not intended to be changed to avoid any issues.

Looks like yes it's limitation

As you remember it was our risk to unlock in on-prem.
