For Jira software and Jira Server, as the subject, are they have the same set REST APIs?
According to my observation, Jira software use version 3 while Jira Server use version 2, are they going to use the same latest version in the future?
Jira Software is an application that runs on top of Jira.
So, yes, they use the same REST APIs, but no, they do not, because Software has functions that run over the top of plain Jira.
Rather than faff around with vague definitions, it would probably be better to establish what you really want to do here. What are you trying to get to?
