Hello Jirers,
I do acknowledge that Jira does not allow JQ to search for history changes in custom field value (eg. "Custom field" changed TO "xxx.yyyy"), however, I do believe the need for such searches is so common that there are some plugins/overrides that can be applied to achieve that.
Does anybody have any suggestions on such plugins?
Thanks a lot for any help!
Marta
Hello Marta,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, we still don't have any plugin that could provide you with a JQL function to perform historical searches on Custom fields.
That being said, we strongly recommend you to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates and possible apps/plugins that provide you with that functionality:
- Implement history search aka WAS and CHANGED operators for custom fields

Maybe, plugin Issue History can help you. It shows the history of all changes that were made in issues of Jira Cloud.
For searching data you need, you can use advanced issue selection (select by project, filter, report, label, sprint, and assignee) and track changes made by a specific user.
Also, this app allows to export data as XLSX or CSV file and dive deeply into analyses.
Hope it helps
