Creating a burndown chart according to custom statuses

Agile burndown chart is drawn over resolved and unresolved items. But I need a chart not over resolution type, but over issue status type. The chart I want need to show issues in the sprint according to story points. Like issues with total 20 story points are in "in progress" state, items with total 40 story points are in "to do" state etc.

How can I create a chart like this in JIRA? I can do this with excel. But as I am using JIRA I should not need Excel.

You can create that using BIRT add-on and write SQL for that. So basically you need to query the JIRA database in order to come up with this kind of report.
