Creating Issues from emails?

Can we configure custom atlassian emails in JIRA Software cloud like we do in JIRA service management to auto-create issues from incoming mails?

In JIRA service management, we can use custom emails like support@companyname.atlassian.net. Can we do something similar in JIRA software cloud?

Unlike JSM Atlassian does not offer an inbound email address option for JSW. You must use your own email. This could be a company email or some private email, e.g. Gmail

Yep, you can achieve this depending on the mail handler you configure. Everything is available here - Create issues and comments from emails

The documentation refers to emails belonging to the user or the company. I'm referring to emails which are custom generated in JIRA Service Management and can we create similar custom emails in JIRA software.

@Mahima Srivastav , i am not following why @Airbus Driver answer isn’t what you are asking for.

with JSM you can create a custom email for creating and updating issues. The article in the link provided gives you a means of doing the same thing for JSW. Maybe you specifically want to use Atlassian‘s email domain rather than your own is that the point?

That is not possible. Unlike JSM Atlassian does not offer an inbound email address option for JSW.

Is there any email plug-in I can use which replaces the need to configure an email handler? There isn't support for this right now, so a plug-in will be easiest to incorporate. Any advice on what are the best email plug-ins to use?
