Hello GreenHopper users,

is it possible to give the right to create and start sprints to a certain group and if so where can I find this setting?

Thanks for your help!

you have to be in the "Project Administrator" Role to be able to create sprints, versions etc..

find more details here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+Project+Permissions

there is no need to give jira administation access just to create sprints.

check the projects permission scheme and look for "Administer Projects"

i added "Project Role (Administrators)" to it.

next edit Roles in your project configuration and put individual users or groups to it you want to have the ability to create sprints. that should be enough. of course you can fine tune things there using permission schemes and roles
