Create Default Project

Chris S December 19, 2013

Is there any way to create a default proejct that can have many issues, components, groups, etc in it. Then, it can be backed up in some way, so whenever you need to create a new project, you can create one from your default project?

Is there any notion of this idea built into JIRA?

Thanks,

Chris

What about the import/export functionality. If you make a base proejct, can you export it, save it, and then import it when you have a new project. I can't breliew that JIR doesn't have this dfuntionality built in.

Anyone else have any other ideas?

Nothing built in. How to create projects or sets of issues based on a template shows how to do this kind of thing. Also, if you already have a existing project, exportData will create a project template script that you can tweak.
