Client Cannot See Child Issues in Project

In Jira Cloud:

A client showed me that they cannot see the child issues of an initiative in JS. I can see them just fine, but they showed me their screen and it's true, they cannot see them. What needs to be turned on for a user to see the child issues of an issue? In this case there is an initiative with 4 child epics.

I found this but it references portfolios which looks like it is only in use in Jira server

Atlassian Community
We're using Portfolio and have manually added Initiative type issues. It all works fine from a Portfolio perspective. However, only one user (me) sees the Child issues on an Initiative detail screen. It is missing from all other users' views. Can anyone point me to the setting/permission/whatever,...

@Nate Dickinson please check that your customer/client has the correct groups to access those issues and also check if the issues are file using any issue security level and if so check if your client hast the correct group to see them

The client made these issues, and set the parent child relationship.

Does not matter who made (create) those issues, it is a configuration topic

It definitely sounds like a configuration, but I don't know what to change to set the visibility of this relationship that is setup in system. I can't imagine what the use case is for not wanting to see the parent child relationship. child issues visibility .png

Please schedule a meeting:, I might be able to help you.
