Classic business project - email notification is not triggered while assigning taks/issue

While assigning the task/issue, no email notification is being triggered.

I am using the default notification settings for my Classic business project.

Is there anything specifically configured? please help

Hi @Sreekumar 

Just to confirm - for this project you've visited Project Settings > Notifications and there are listed users who will receive a notification?

By default, for Issue Assigned the users who would receive the notification are:

  • All Watchers
  • Current Assignee
  • Reporter

Are none of the users in those fields receiving a notification?

Thanks for confirming!

A few things to check:

  • Check the notification scheme, to ensure there are user types assigned to the appropriate events. For example, against the event "Issue Assigned"
  • Check if users are receiving notifications if @mentioned within a comment on any issue within this project
  • Do users receive notifications from other projects for similar events?
  • Have users checked their spam/archive folders within their email platform?
