Cant view reports by customers/accounts in Tempo

egle_samuoliene May 10, 2021

So we have a problem which is new (was ok sometime ago though) with reports in Tempo. When we try to make a report and filter by customer or accounts no data comes up. And it is weird as we have accounts set up and projects assigned to them. any ideas what could have happened?

@egle_samuoliene

Is the time that is being logged on issues associated with any of the accounts?  In order to be able to filter on this, there has to be data or nothing will come up when you search.

hey @Brant Schroeder yes, projects are associated with accounts. Not all our project have specific issues, some only epics, but they are linked to the accounts.

HI @egle_samuoliene ,

To connect a worklog to an Account, you can use
- the Account set on the issue the worklog is made on, using the Tempo Account Custom field or

- Account as work attribute. This allows users to select one of the Accounts that is linked to the project when they are logging work.
Please take a look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/1085046794/Tempo+Accounts+-+how+to+connect+worklogs+to+an+Account for more information.
