Cannot link applications

Carsten Franke August 29, 2017

Hi,

I have Jira and Service Desk (SD) running on two separate machines. Both are running latest versions 7.4.3. I'd like to connect those two applications with the built-in functionality. The link from Jira to SD says "Deprecated" and the link from SD to Jira says "Connected".

I am able to link a ticket in SD to one from Jira, even as reciprocal link.
I am not able to link a ticket in Jira to SD, most likely because it is "Deprecated".

When opening the view "Application links" in Jira and trying to update the deprecated connection, I get the result

When contacting the server we received the following error:

Unable to remove remote Trusted Authentication despite having sysadmin permission on the remote server.

You can try to refresh the page. If the error persists the application logs might provide additional information or you can reach out to your admin.

I found something in SD's logs that might be relevant:

2017-08-29 09:42:41,091 http-nio-80-exec-21 WARN admin 582x4970x2 kbpouq 192.168.201.138 /plugins/servlet/applinks/auth/conf/trusted/autoconfig/0ffb46d2-d98d-3b79-9657-9933466748ec [c.a.a.trusted.auth.AutoConfigurationServlet] Unable to serve page: "/plugins/servlet/applinks/auth/conf/trusted/autoconfig/0ffb46d2-d98d-3b79-9657-9933466748ec": com.atlassian.applinks.ui.AbstractApplinksServlet$NotFoundException: null

Any suggestions?

Best regards,

I tried the most obvious approach: Drop the application link and create it again. And voila: It works!

Please feel free to delete this ticket.
