So we now have the ability to pin fields to the top of the view, which is great. I have a set of fields that i pinned to the top, but i would like those in a certain order, however, i can only unpin everything and then repin them in the order that i want to see them unless i am missing how they can be ordered.
Can we please have the ability to reorder the fields or at least lock the order in place. Its way too easy to click on the unpin button accidentally and lose your placement.
I also would like this feature to be built-in.
As a work-around I made the API call manually to set the pinned fields by copying the request from my browser's developer tools network tab and edited the payload to contain the fields and order that I wanted:
curl 'https://YOURSITE.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/mypreferences?key=jira.user.issue.details.pinned-fields.PROJECTKEY' \
-X 'PUT' \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
... other headers including auth cookie ...
--data-binary 'components,11154,11151,versions,fixVersions,customfield_10952,customfield_10024,assignee' \
--compressed

Found this to be very useful, thanks! Mine worked like this:
curl "https://PROJECT.atlassian.net/rest/api/2/mypreferences?key=jira.user.issue.details.pinned-fields.PROJECTKEY" ^
-X "PUT" ^
-H "content-type: application/json" ^
-H "cookie: BLAHBLAH" ^
--data-binary "timetracking,timeoriginalestimate,customfield_10619,assignee,reporter,customfield_10007,priority"

According to this article, the order is based upon the order that you pin the fields:

Best regards,
Bill
