Can you hide 'sub-tasks' from a specific user group?

I'd like to keep my external customers focused on testing/closing a 'Story' instead of the sub-tasks that are created to technically complete that story. My team has found that these sub-tasks create unnecessary discussion/questions so i'm hoping there's a fix...

Is there a way to hide the sub-tasks of a 'Story' from a specific user group?

Referring to your issue, there is already an improvement request being raised: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5869 which is related to Sub-Task should have independent security levels.

Please feel free to vote on it to increase its popularity and add yourself as watcher in order to receive any latest updates from the developer and feedback from other user that is facing the same issue.
