Hi,
We are working on developing an application in Jira Cloud using Forge and for that we wanted only selected users to be able to see particular issue types.
While doing our analysis for suitable approaches, we came across Issue Security Schemes which allow users to view particular issues.
We are wondering if issue security could be implemented for Issue Types as well i.e. only particular user groups can be allowed to view selected issue types?
If there are any other suitable suggestions for this, please let me know.
Regards,
Apoorva
No, but yes.
Issue security works at the project level, not issue-type level, but as you can use different workflows for different issue types, you can make it work pretty much like that.
There's a couple of good recent answers to much the same question that I don't want to repeat - see https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Can-a-security-be-set-up-so-that-only-the-creator-of-an-issue/qaq-p/2204254
