Can't connect to Jira using existing URL after upgrade to 9.1.

Joe Zaynor September 26, 2022

We've upgraded Jira to 9.1 in our test instance before doing so in production, and now we're no longer able to connect to the test environment using the existing URLs - either from a local machine or from directly on the server.  They only way we can connect is on the server using http://localhost:8080/.

Hi @Joe Zaynor ,

So if you can reach it via localhost its up and running.

Did you take over all changes in the server.xml file located in jirainstall/conf ?

There is the port configured and if you are behind a proxy or not.

Yes, to the server.xml file.

No changes have been made to the server setup or firewalls.  The only change was upgrading from 8.22 to 9.1.

Did you restart Jira after making the changes to server, xml? Does your firewall or reverse proxy expect jira to run on port 8080?
