Can one person monitor company-wide issue progress?

Paul Rogers February 1, 2018

We are a small service business using Jira to manage our business work projects, with individual team members updating issues as they progress on their individual projects. Is there a way for one person to monitor any overdue issues in a single screen view (i.e. without going into each individual project and looking at the board)?

Hi Paul,

Sure. This person should have (at least) browse project access on all projects. If that is the case, just go to issue navigator and create a filter like:

Resolution = Unresolved and Due < Now()

Save the filter, e.g. as "All overdue issues".

You might even set up a Dashboard where you can display the results in various ways:

  • as a pie chart, where you could display them by e.g. assignee
  • as a list of issues, using the Filter Results gadget
  • as a two dimensional issue statistic, where you can see them by e.g. project and status

Thanks Walter, I'll try that.
