Can OUs from AD integration for users be used as a field in issues?

Using usernames from AD for login and assignees, reporters, project owners, roles, etc. is pretty common. Selecting from AD users in a User Picker custom field is an option that can be added to screens.

What about the OUs from AD. Can they be provided in a field in Jira? We'd like to have an Impacted OUs field and having that populated by the data we already have in AD would be very useful, especially if as OUs change with a restructure they remain for historical reasons but can no longer be selected (as are disabled AD users).

Is there a way to have AD OUs available as a custom field in Jira cloud?
