we have a number of users that still have LDAP active accounts biut for some reason appear as inactive in user management and the users no longer have access to JIRA can the account be reactivated in user management screen or other?

Hello @tony_morris - thanks for the question and welcome to the community. I would suspect that the reason the users are showing as inactive is that they no longer belong to the jira-users group. If your group management is managed via LDAP or a different user management tool then you will want to add them to the jira-users group in that application and then resync or wait for that to sync with Jira.

However, if you manage the groups in Jira internally then you can go those users and add them to the jira-users group inside of Jira and they should then show as active.

Thanks Bryan

Turns out it was an Active directory issue they had been removed from an OU group in correctly!!
