Can I auto create channel on slack upon creating project on Jira?

One of my major activities in the project management is to create slack channel for each newly created project so I am looking for a way to integrate Jira with Slack to auto create channel on slack upon creating a project on Jira.

Is this possible?

Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately, at the moment is not possible to have this automation.

I definitely understand the use-case and the need to get a channel running as fast as possible per project. With the official Jira Cloud for Slack app, they don't have the functionality to create a channel automatically when a new project is created.

However, they do have a feature request open with a similar suggestion that I strongly recommend to vote and comment your use case there.
