CLONE issue name

Armin Cseve September 25, 2017

Hello!

If I clone the sub-task, let's in the cloned sub-task name the issue name.

Can I this setting in jira.clone.prefix ?

Example:

Issue name: "pilot"

Sub-task name is: "plan"

I clone the subtask, name "plan", cloned sub-task name be "pilot - plan"

Thanks!

Ármin

You do not have that level of customization in JIRA. You can only have a fixed prefix for all cloned issues.

You will have to write a add-on or find one that does this.

Hi Armin,

You can do this easily with the Power Scripts add-on. I can post a video tutorial if that is an option for you.

If you could give some additional information around the use case that may help. I'm surprised that you would want one sub-task named plan and another named pilot - plan.

Do you ever have more than 2 sub-tasks?

Would you want to control naming convention of the first sub-task?
