Burndown chart offers only Original Time Estimate

Hello, 

In the Burndown chart report (and Burnup), the system offers only Original Time Estimate as a measure of remaining work, thus time entries do not adjust the graph.  The remaining work is reduced only when an issue is complete vs. ongoingly as work is logged. 

If that's how burndown/up is "supposed" to work, is there a way to monitor remaining work per task and overall on an ongoing basis?

Please advise.

That's what a burndown is supposed to do - you burn down when an issue is complete, not part way through.
