I have a Jira Classic Software Project with a series of custom fields where we use a custom-developed set of label for data analysis. We do have a few of these custom fields, which are just text labels.
With the new Jira issue view, the autocomplete suggestions for these custom fields are not limiting to the labels of the field itself, but they search through all the labels of the project.
This is not good for our custom fields, because we define the set of labels for each custom field ourselves, and we'd want to have suggestions only from those fields (also making it a set of checkboxes is not ideal, because the list is relatively long and dynamically evolving). It seems this was not the case with the old issue view (just tested it).
If there are use cases for which the current behaviour is needed, it would be good to have the possibility to choose. Is there already a workaround for this?
This appears to be an open defect, that you may want to vote for and watch:
