Auto assigning to a user on transition from one Kanban step

Charlie Hubbard September 20, 2013

I'm using Jira Agile on ONDemand and I have defined my own workflow so I can auto assign issues to users when tasks are dragged between Kanban steps. I'd like to do two things. I have two steps that I'd like to remove the assigned user (or assign the task to unassigned) when the user drags a task to one of my steps. And I'd like to auto assign the user to a specific user when the task is dragged to another step. However, in the Post Functions I don't see an option to assign to a specific user or remove the assigned user. How can I do this?

In onDemand, you should have the following post functions. You can use them.

Clear Field Value Clear value of a given field.

Update Issue Field Updates a simple issue field to a given value.

Don't see a clear field value, but update issue field: Assignee to Unassigned did the trick. Thanks.
