The system requirements documentation for every Atlassian products is spread out into individual wikis. Some with not very useful information.
I am looking to get a idea of what it would cost to host the equivalent of the Atlassian Git Essentials using standards AWS pricing in comparison to just using Atlassian Cloud.
To do this, I need to know what type of servers I need for 24 users with normal usage with a cold failover.
What are the hardware requirements for hosting Jira, Stash and Bamboo in this case?
Can they all run on the same machine(2 machines total for redundancy) or do they need to be broken apart(6 machines total)?
You can run them on the same machine, BUT you'll start having problems with coordinating down time etc... Having them on separate machines makes it easier to bring down just JIRA etc.
I can't find a page for Bamboo, but you'll want a 2G vm at least with a decent amount of disk space (For artifacts). If you're using remote agents then you'll need at least 1G for the java agent and then more for whatever you're running there. If you're using local agents, you'll need memory on top of the 2G.
You can in theory use the same database server but will end up with a single point of failure for all of the apps. If you can having separate databases would be good.
