Assigning issues causes timeout

Recently when I assign a ticket to someone it does not assign and instead times out with this error:

"The call to the JIRA server did not complete within the timeout period. We are unsure of the result of this operation"

 

It does seem to assign the ticket after you refresh the page.

This functionality was working before but since then I have played with a lot of add ons and made some config changes,  I rolled these changes back but am still seeing this error.  I have also tried clearing out the temp directory where the plugins seem to store their files.

 

I also have bitbucket and confluence running on the same box.

 

edit: I have done more testing and it appears to go through and assign the ticket without error about 1 in 5 times.

Hello,

By clearing the temp directory do you mean that you followed this guide?

Yes, however it had no affect, plugins being used repopulated and assigning issues still hangs.
