Applying Filter to Backlog - Next Generation

Hi

I've used JIRA server for ages now, and I've jsut set up a new instance of Jira Cloud for another company but it's using the Next Generation View. I've just about got to grips with the design overhaul but i can't see any way to apply a backlog filter to my project.

Is it possible?? The look and feel is so completely different i may have missed it somewhere but i wan't to be able to filter out specific issue types from the backlog on a query. I've hunted to forums but can't find anything that answers my question

No it is not possible with NG. At least not yet anyway.

This is pretty unusable as it stands. Our backlog is over whelmed with completed and closed items one has to scroll through when they cant recall text to search/filter
