Advanced roadmap color by status - In Progress and Blocked are same color

Andrey May 16, 2022

Hi folks, experimenting with advanced roadmap.

The colors are not ideal so far - would prefer the advanced roadmap to take the color from the actual epic/issue color, but don't see that option.

The next best for us would be to color by status - but it doesn't give an option to map which status should be which color. For example, it colors In Progress, In Testing, and Blocked status Epics all the same shade of blue. These three statuses are mapped to different columns for us in the normal projects, but advanced roadmaps treats them all the same.

Would appreciate any tips here!

Hi @Andrey

That option does not seem to exist. It seems odd

You can set colours for every other option except Status, Team, and Project.

I assume Status will use the colours associated with the status type for consistency.

I can only suggest raising a feature request with Atlassian. May already be one.

Personally we use labels.

Coloring by Label is robust, as are automations. Create an automation to change Labels based on a change in the Epic Color or Status, and color by Label.
