Dear all,
We have a workflow for the issue-type "Bugs"
This workflow is used by several projects +32
The current workflow contains the states
- Ready
- Open
- Done
The current request is about to adjust the workflow with these entries
- OPEN
- DOCUMENTATION
- SCOPE DEFINED
- SPRINT ALLOCATION DONE
- DEVOPMENT
- TEST
- ROLLOUT
- DECLINED
If I add the new entries to the workflow, what happens to the issue-types "Bugs" which already have the other states in place?
My first idea was, that I "translate" for eg. the current state which is named "ready" to the new state "open" for example?
Will that be a suiteable approach?
Best regards
Sarah
Statuses can't be removed from active workflows.
Thanks a lot for your response.
So the only way to rename the entries is to copy the workflow and apply the new worflow to the projects?
If I take a closer look into the current workflow I'm able to click "edit" and can adjust the displayname from "ready" to eg. "open"
But that is not a suiteable approach right?
Best regards
Sarah

Renaming is possible, but you cannot delete it in active workflow.
Renaming a status will renaming the status in all other workflows if the same status is used.
Limitations of an Active workflow and inactive workflow is mentioned in https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/
