500 error: Sorry, we had some technical problems during your last session

Hi Support,

We have just updated the license key in JIRA software, After that we are getting this error.

com.atlassian.jira.issue.index.SearchUnavailableException: com.atlassian.jira.util.RuntimeIOException: java.io.IOException: read past EOF

Kindly check this issue and help us ASAP.

Hi Divya, 

From this error it appears the search indexes may have become corrupted. Try following the steps in the following article to remove and rebuild them to see if this helps.

Thanks for help.

We have done the steps which you suggested in above link. We are able to see the projects and users, but not able to see the issues data.

Note: Recently we have upgraded the licence key from evaluation license to Starter License(Paid).

Please help !

Hi Divya, 

Glad to hear the steps got the instance back up and running. Now that I go back and read the original KB article I realize there's a missing step there. Try running a lock and reindex as described in the following article to see if issues start turning up again in your instance:
