Is there documentation on each of the issue fields? I am training my team on creating issues, but I don't find good descriptions on all of the fields and the reasons to populate them.
Jira has a handful of "system" fields it gives you by default, and I'd say the names of those are self-explanatory - assignee, reporter, summary, priority, etc.
Other fields are added by administrators and could be anything. You'll need to ask your administrators or project owners to explain what the custom fields are for.
