Is it possible to comment community members in discussion or q?

Hello dear Atlassians, 

Again I have to mention, Atlassian has the most useful support communities ever, complete with events and all, helpful in many different products, 

wonder if it were possible to ping community members in regards of a specific topic they've brought up, if one had more specific questions in that topic?

Comment in question window with @?

You can use @ mentions indeed, but please be sparing with them - they directly mail a lot of us and it's really annoying when people mention you in questions and discussions you actually have no interest in (or time to read).

You'll find the @ allows you to quickly select from people already in the conversation, and those are fine for most.  But please don't do things where you name someone just because you've seen they're active and might respond.  It actively discourages me from even reading the question!
