user of jirs service desk cannot see the service desk's projects

Chani Grozovsky November 3, 2020

I wanted to add a user to my service desk project, there for I sent  him an invitation from the administration area -> users -> invite users. I checked the Jira service desk from the product access.

but when the new user log in he sees all  software projects and cannot see the service desk projects. When he search only for service desk projects he get this message - No projects were found that match your search.

Even when I go to Jira service desk users I see his name as one of the users.

Please help!!!

Thanks!

You must be a Jira administrator to give Jira users permission to view service desk issues.

To give permission to other Jira users:

  1. From your service desk project, go to Project settings > Permissions.
  2. Select Actions > Edit permissions.
  3. Under Project permissions, select Edit for the Browse Projects permission.
  4. Under Granted to, choose Application access.
  5. From the dropdown, select Any logged in user.
  6. Select Grant.

Thank you for this. This reply did exactly what I needed it to do. I was trying to get it to work so that Jira Software users could see Service Desk and leave Internal Comments. This was the missing piece. Much appreciated, @Soumyadeep Mandal
