The possible issue can be caused by two factors:
1) Your browser app configuration where files with certain file extension are not mapped to the appropriate application to open the file.
OR
2) There is a problem with with your JSM env. I recommend that for you to contact Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com), so they can access the system logs on the backend to determine the issue.
